Product Lead Times

Product Lead Times will let your manufacturing staff plan ahead and set expectations for customers by printing the Lead Time right on the Quote or Order.

 

Overview
Product Lead Times are entered on the Product Lead Time tab in the Product Catalog, with one entry for each Product Line.  Whenever you add a new Product Line in the Product Catalog, you'll be prompted to enter the Lead Time, or time it takes to manufacture or get the product from Order to Shipping, in whatever format you want (days, weeks, etc.).

 

The Product Lead Time is carried over to the Order when the Product Name is selected (in the Options & Features catalog style only), and can be printed on the Quote or Order to give the customer some idea of when delivery will take place.

 

You can also use the Product Lead Time field on Orders to create a load management report, which gives your manufacturing staff a heads up on the production schedule based on confirmed orders and expected finish times.
