FileKeeper is on the Home / File Attachments & Labels tab.  FileKeeper is a file attachment manager for files that need to stay with your production data and be shared by all users.

 

Overview
While every record in the system can have attachments (by clicking the 'Attachments' button when the record is selected), sometimes you have other files that users need that are not related to any one record or department.

FileKeeper makes it easy to find attachments because the same built-in filtering features that work in every page are available here; simply click on any field label to search for data and answer the prompt for what you're looking for to filter the Navigator list.

Attaching A File
1) Click 'New' to create a new record.
2) Enter a file name; this does NOT have to be the actual name of the file. You can enter something here that really describes what the attachment is.
3) Enter a description; remember that users can search on any text in this field. Example: if you've attached a picture of a supplier's warehouse, enter something like 'Company ABC warehouse in New York City". Then users can find this record by entering 'Company ABC' or 'warehouse' or 'New York'.
5) Click 'Save' to save the record, then click 'Attachments' to open the file attachment dialog. Click the Help button on the dialog for instructions on adding attachments and using the other Attachment features.
