Sticky Notes are just like the paper sticky notes... they let you store a small piece of information about every entry in the Company table.

Overview
Sticky Notes are just the paper "stickies" you put on your computer monitor or desk to remind you of some little piece of information. Sticky Notes in this application are associated with a Company record, and you can use it to store reminders about that company in the same way.

Sticky Note Button
You can open the sticky note for the current company by clicking the button next to the Company name. If you have edit access, you can edit the text, click 'Save' or 'Save & Close' to save the changes.

Show Checkbox
If this is checked and a company has a sticky note attached to it, the note will automatically display when you select the company.

Sticky Note Dialog
Like all popup or floating dialogs, you can move the message to any place on your desktop by holding your mouse down on the blue star in the upper left corner. When you reopen it, the last place is restored.

Security
Sticky Note security is set by a System Administration only, with these options:

Global Access - Sticky Notes can be edited from wherever they're available in the application.
Company Table - Sticky Notes can only be edited when viewing on the Company record
Read Only - User cannot edit at any time
None - User cannot read or edit.

The Sticky Note Security dialog can be opened by a System Administrator by right-clicking on any Sticky Note button or from the Administration Department.

Editing Security
When the Sticky Note Security dialog opens, it displays all active users from the application's Security records. By default, all users are given 'Edit Globally' access which means they can add and edit data anywhere in the system.

To change a users' access, click on the 'Security Level' field and choose another value from the drop-down list.

Click 'OK' to Save all changes and close the dialog.
